HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!

First of all, Happy Valentines Day everyone!! So far my day has been wonderful! My little valentines let us sleep until 5:30, and have been in very good moods since then, and my wonderful husband got me a new bracelet! I feel so spoiled :)

Ok, so I am sorry for once again being a slacker and not updating for a while. I will say though that I took this project on during the newborn stage when Analiese and Harper were sleeping most of the time during the day, and I had a lot more free time. With that being said, Ana is back to sleep after waking us up at 5:30 to eat, and Harper is completely enthralled with all the toys hanging from her bouncer so I will take this time to enjoy my coffee and get everyone up to date.

Let's start on the subject of sleep. When your baby comes home from the hospital, and you are walking around like a zombie because of the lack of sleep, people will tell you that it get easier, and you will get more sleep as they get older. What they don't tell you, is that while they may sleep more at night (and that's still a huge maybe) they sleep much less during the day. I know that sounds like common sense, but your exhausted mom mind will have a difficult time wrapping your head around it. So yes, they will sleep for a longer period of time at night, but they still wake up at an ungodly time (4:45am yesterday, and 5:30 this morning) and since they slept so much longer, they don't go back to sleep like they used to after their first feed of the day. And, like I said before, they sleep less during the day, so now instead of getting a few times to rest throughout the day you get about 1....if you are lucky. My girls have decided that they are going to wake up super early, then take turns taking 20 minute naps, so one of them is always awake. Moral of the story...I feel lied to. ;)

A new development is that the girls are FINALLY starting to interact with each other, and its the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life! They are starting to stare at each other, and smile at each other, and talk/laugh at each other. A couple days ago they were laying on their playmat and staring at each other for a couple minutes and then they started to figure it out....they started smiling and giggling with each other! This is a big deal because up until now I think they were living in denial about the other even existing. They were cooing back and forth, and Ana figured out that when she sticks her tongue out at us, we do it back, so she tried it out on Harper, and Harper stuck her tongue out too! Seriously I am still kicking myself for not getting a video of it because you can't even imagine the cuteness unless you see it. I will try to snap myself out of this adorable trance next time, and get a quick video.

And last but not least, we are finally having some luck on the house hunt! We have decided to go with renting instead of buying because at this point interest rates won't be ideal for us, which is fine, and just speeds things up. I have been to look at 5 houses/apartments already, but haven't quite felt at home at any of them so far. Well, I did in two, but one was in Lowell and Dan wants to be closer to the train, so that was quickly off our list. Then the next one I liked (actually loved) was in Beecher, an ideal location, but a bit out of our price range. Well, the Beecher house is a town house in a big development where basically all the houses are the same, which is wonderful for us, because we found another townhouse that was well within our price range with just one less bathroom than the other. I can definitely deal with that!! I am going to look at it today, and am hoping for the best, but with any luck we can be ready to go next month!!

I know there is more going on than I have mentioned, but mom brain strikes again, and I am drawing a blank. I have tons of pictures that I haven't put on my computer yet, so I think I am just going to write another post later today and fill it with pictures to give you a cuteness overload!!

I have to start my day now, because with my grandparents owning flower shops, they have recruited me to help with Valentines Day! Everyone enjoy the day and I hope you can spend it with your loved ones!!!
